Pelvic Health Specialist
Francesca is the co-founder and co-owner of Durant Physical Therapy and Centered Body Pilates. From the beginning, Francesca has always been driven to address the body as a system versus an injured part, and to re-pattern movements to improve all aspects of her patient's/client’s daily life. Francesca's vision has been to create a center that serves clients from the Rehabilitative phase through Wellness with clients entering at all stages. Francesca believes in a manual approach to Physical Therapy. As a therapist, she addresses the structural limitations within the body that cause injury as well as an important continuum to fully achieve healthy movement patterns. Driven by the need to create symmetry across her instructors and a strong foundation for her students, she had the GETS CORe, now Principles Program, curriculum training brought to the studio in early 2012.
Francesca holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Northeastern University. With her husband, Timothy, Francesca opened the doors to Durant Physical Therapy in 2005. At the same time, driven to further their holistic approach, Francesca pursued her Comprehensive Pilates Certification with Polestar Pilates in 2007. In early 2017, Francesca pursued intensive training with Herman and Wallace the leader of Pelvic health for Physical Therapy.
Francesca brings to every physical therapy and Pilates session her knowledge of the body, her love of movement and her passion for teaching the foundations of movement and awareness in each client. She is passionate about motivating clients to challenge their body and affecting clients through Mind, Body, and Spirit to lead a healthier and more efficient life!
