TIM DURANT

Physical Therapist

Co-Owner

Timothy Durant, MSPT., has been a Physical Therapist since 1997. He received a Bachelors of Science 1994 from Pennsylvania State University and a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy 1997 from Thomas Jefferson University. Tim has spent his entire career working in the outpatient setting specializing in complex orthopedic cases and high-level neurological care. Together with his wife Francesca, he fulfilled his dream of opening his own private practice in September of 2005. The practice spent 8 years in Wethersfield, CT and moved to Glastonbury to accommodate the growing needs of the business. Tim's philosophy is focused around delivering highly specified manual therapy care to each patient he works worth versus simply moving patients through an exercise program. Tim's full-time private practice primarily focuses on functional rehabilitation with a manual therapy foundation. His work integrates the neuromechanical sciences with physical therapy and blends the methods of modern practitioner's rehabilitation strategies such as Paris, Mulligan, Cryiax, McKenzie, and Burkart. Over the past 10 years, there’s been a natural evolution from static examination and rehabilitation protocols for managing musculoskeletal dysfunction, to now integrating functionally based systems and protocols. Tim and Francesca live in Glastonbury with their three boys. Tim enjoys coaching his kids' sports and playing golf. His claim to fame was the 2 years he spent being the Nittany Lion mascot at Penn State.
